Anybody seen these outdoor ads around Dublin?

Anybody seen these outdoor ads around Dublin?

I don't drink whiskey, so I'm ready to accept that this ad may not be aimed at me. But I don't get it. I actually asked a mate that regularly drinks Jameson, but he couldn't shed any light on this either.

I don't understand what they mean by "It's a Jameson thing". Is it just a throw-away line or is there something bigger going on? There is also an extra hand in the picture. Not sure why.

If you know, please explain.

The strapline internationally is "Seriously playful" which at least makes sense but apparently the copy clearance people in Ireland ruled it out. I suspect the ads are trying to say that Jameson drinkers are successful dynamic urbanites who still know how to have a good time. Personally I would hate to know or hang out with any of the one dimensional caricatures in the ads, which is not good for Jameson because I suspect I might be target audience. Awful stuff.

thanks dp. Prefer 'seriously playful', or at least I'd understand it.
